Pijus Saha, professor of Jahangirnagar University's Pharmacy department, died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in the capital this afternoon at the age of 51, reports BSS.

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Lab Aid Hospital in Dhaka at around 4:30 pm, Professor Didare Alam Mushsin, said chairman of the JU pharmacy department.

Meanwhile, JU vice-chancellor Professor Nurul Alam expressed profound shock at the death of Professor Pijus Saha.
