No unethical works found in Eden College: Body

The investigation committee formed to probe the allegation of “forceful sexual relations” with high-profile persons by the Eden College students has found nothing true.

The probe committee has submitted the report, said Professor Supriya Bhattacharjee, principal of the college in a statement on Thursday.

It said the four-member probe body did not find the allegation in reality. It, however, said the college authority will take action over the clash between two factions of the Chhatra League and its various corruptions.

Two rival groups of Eden Mohila College Chhatra League engaged in clashes on the campus on September 24 and 25.

BCL suspended its Eden College unit and expelled 16 leaders and activists from the student body.

Later, a case was also filed against eight people including Eden Mohila College unit Chhatra League president Tamanna Jesmin alias Riva and general secretary Razia Sultana on charges of extortion and attempted murder.

Eden College unit BCL vice-president Jannatul Ferdous filed the case with the Dhaka chief metropolitan magistrate court.
