HSC exams begin

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams for the academic session 2021-22 began across the country on Sunday.

The examinations began at 11 am with Bangla 1st Paper on the first day, reports UNB.

Some 1,203,407 examinees completed their registration to sit for the exams. Of them, 622,769 are boys and 580,611 are girls.

The exams are being held at 2,649 centers and 9,181 institutions across the country.

According to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, written HSC exams will continue till December 13 while practical exams will be held from December 15 to 22.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni visited Govt Badrunnesa Women's College and warned of any kinds of question leaks and rumours.

She expressed satisfaction with the congenial atmosphere of the examination centres. 

The education minister also called upon the guardians to keep the discipline of the exam centres.

Meanwhile, all coaching centres all over the country remained closed from November 3 to December 14 as per the directives of the government.
