Nazrul, Nur Uddin elected president, secy of CUCAJAA

Md Nazrul Islam and Nur Uddin Alamgir were elected president and general secretary in the election of the Chittagong University Communication and Journalism Alumni Association (CUCAJAA) for the 2023-2025 session held on Saturday.

Nazrul has been re-elected as the president of the organisation for second term.

Chief Election Commissioner CU Communication and Journalism (CAJ) Former Chairman Professor Ali Asgar Chowdhury and Commissioner Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) President Tapan Chakrobarty announced the results after the election held at Chittagong Boat Club in the city’s Patenga area.

The other elected office bearers are First Vice President (Dhaka) Fazlul Karim, Senior Vice President Hamid Ullah, Vice President (Chattogram) Meah Mohammad Arif, Vice President (Dhaka) Parvez Chowdhury, Joint General Secretary (Chattogram) Asiful Hasnat Siddiqui Asif, Joint General Secretary (Dhaka) Tanmoy Majumder, Organising Secretary Rashed H Chowdhury, Treasurer Rashedul Hasan Tushar, Office Secretary Jahangir Alam, Publicity and Public Relations Secretary Md Rashedul Islam, Students Welfare and Social Services Secretary Masud Milad, Executive Member (Chattogram) Dilruba Akter Renu, and Executive Member (Dhaka) Fahad Ferdous.

The members of the alumni association also had day-long picnic programmes including cruises on ship, cultural events and raffle draw among other activities.
