Jatiyo Chhatra Samaj central President Md Al Mamun visited the students of Rajshahi University (RU) who were injured in a clash with the locals at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Sunday.
Criticizing the incident Al Mamun protested the attack on the RU students.
He said an educational institution is like a mother. If students do not find safety there, how a mother would send their children to university?The university authority should play a more active role to ensure the safety and security of the students, he added.
Al Mamun also demanded fair justice and a permanent solution to this clash.
Jatiyo Chhatra Samaj central committee member Sajid Rawshan Ishan, among others, was present at that time.
At least 87 students of Rajshahi University sustained injuries during the clash with the locals on Saturday night.
