The government has cancelled the summer vacation in secondary-level schools across the country this year in a bid to take the annual examinations by November.

The summer vacation will be added to the winter vacation, scheduled to begin in December.

The summer vacation was scheduled to begin on July 20 and end on August 2.

Dipu Moni said they would take annual examinations by November as the next general election could be held in December next.
