The US Embassy in Dhaka is now accepting applications for the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) 2024 Grants Programme.
The deadline for application is 11:59 pm on 15 January 2024.
The AFCP supports the preservation of tangible and intangible heritage, including historic buildings, archaeological sites, manuscripts, museum collections, and forms of traditional cultural expression such as indigenous languages and crafts, read a press release of the US Embassy in Dhaka on Sunday, reports Daily Sun.Since its inception in 2001, the AFCP has supported over 1,000 projects in more than 120 countries around the world. In Bangladesh, the AFCP has provided over $8,00,000 in funding for 12 projects over the past 12 years.
The grants range from $10,000 to $5,00,000 and can support projects that last from one to five years.
Details about the programme, including application requirements, will be available on the US embassy website, it added.
