This year, a total of 92,365 candidates secured the highest Grade Point Average (GPA)-5.
Of them, 31,750 candidates secured GPA-5 from Dhaka Education Board, 11,260 from Rajshahi, 6,340 from Chattogram, 5,650 from Cumilla and 4,000 from Barishal Education Board.
A total of 1,067,852 students have passed the examination in all the education boards. The pass rate is 80.57 per cent in female students while 76.76 per cent in male students.The pass rate in Dhaka is 89.44 per cent, Barishal 80.65 per cent, Rajshahi 78.45 per cent, Cumilla 75.34 per cent and Chattogram 73.81 per cent, Jessore 69.88 per cent and Mymensingh 70.44 per cent according to the board sources. Besides, the pass rate in Madrasa board is 90.75 per cent.
Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina published the results of the 11 education boards including madrasa and technical boards at Ganabhaban.
The average pass rate of the 11 education boards is 78.64 per cent which was 85.95 per cent in the last year.
On the other hand, the average pass of nine general education boards is 75.9 per cent.
