Rajshahi University (RU) has been closed until further notice and its students were asked to vacate their dormitories by 12:00 pm on Wednesday amid the ongoing movement by students demanding reformation in the quota system in government jobs.
A press release issued by the public relations office of the public university last midnight said the closure decision has been taken taking the security issue of the students into special consideration.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of the syndicate, the highest policy-making body of the country's second-largest university, as per the government decision last night.bd-pratidin/GR
