Police arrested 51 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (August 19).                 

A total of 5,401 pieces of Yaba, 118 grams of heroin, and 40.6 Kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-nine cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
