Police arrested 45 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (August 25).                 

A total of 621 pieces of Yaba, 2 grams of heroin, 53 drug injections and 11.590 Kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-seven cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
