Police arrested 55 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Monday (August 29).                 

A total of 925 pieces of Yaba, 151 grams of heroin, 90 bottles phensedyl, 4-litre foreign liquor, and 10.710 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Forty cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
