Police arrested 33 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Saturday (September 3).                 

A total of 1,253 pieces of Yaba, 6 grams of heroin, 4 cans of beer, 57 bottles of phensidyle and 24 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Twenty-seven cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
