Police arrested 36 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (September 13).                 

A total of 8,900 pieces of Yaba, 159.6 grams of heroin, 280 bottles of phensidyle, and 23 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
