Police arrested 44 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Sunday (September 25).                 

A total of 3,583 pieces of Yaba, 30 grams of heroin, 1 bottle of phensidyle, 10 injections, 2 help trees and 5.7 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-eight cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
