Former Principal Information Officer (PIO) of Press Information Department (PID) Enamul Haque passed away while undergoing treatment at a city hospital on Tuesday.
He was 90.
Haque is survived by his wife, two sons, three daughters and a host of friends, relatives, well-wishers and admirers, reports BSS.BCS Information Association President SM Golam Kibria and Secretary General Munshi Jalal Uddin expressed their deep shock and sorrow at the death of Enamul Haque.
In a condolence message, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to their bereaved family members.
Enamul Haque served as a Principal Information Officer, Director General (DG) of Department of Film and Publications, Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television and Press Minister of Bangladesh High Commissions in London and Delhi.
