Police arrested 84 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Saturday (October 8).       

A total of 242 pieces of Yaba, 110 packets of heroin, 180 bottles of phensidyle, 458 bottles of foreign liquor and 2.7 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Twenty-five cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
