Police arrested 63 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Saturday (October 15).                 

A total of 8,743 pieces of Yaba, 25 grams of heroin, 15 bottles of phensidyle, 6 bottles of foreign liquor, and 8.8 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-five cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
