Many areas of the capital Dhaka including Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Shahbagh, Dhaka University area, Mogbazar, Badda, Banasree, Shahjahanpur, Mirpur, and Uttara remained waterlogged on Monday night due to cyclone Sitrang.

Many roadside trees were uprooted and fell on the road which created huge traffic gridlock till midnight. Trees were also uprooted at Ramna Park and Dhaka University area.

Two city corporations also removed water from main roads and most of the residential areas. 

Meanwhile, the electricity supply remains normal since Tuesday morning after disruption on Monday night due to the cyclonic storm.
