Police arrested 61 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (November 3).                 

A total of 3,351 pieces of Yaba, 5 grams of heroin, 81 bottles of local liquor and 17 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Forty-eight cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
