The woman who was hit by a private car and dragged around for several hundred yards on Dhaka University campus area earlier on Friday afternoon died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The deceased was identified as Rubina Akther, 45.
She passed away around 4:30pm at DMCH, said Masud Mia, an assistant sub-inspector of DMCH Police Outpost.A video clip obtained by The Daily Star shows that people were shouting at the driver to stop the car which kept dragging the woman towards Nilkhet.
