Police detained 25 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (December 9).                    

A total of 4,464 pieces of yaba, 30 packets of heroin, 10 grams of ice, 48 cans of bear and 12.9 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Eighteen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
