Awami League Presidium Member and Deputy Leader of the Parliament Matia Chowdhury said that Awami League always stands by the people and would always keep with the people.
She said the only job of the Awami League is to serve the people of the country.
Matia Chowdhury came up with the observation while distributing warm clothes among the destitute as the chief guest organised by Dhaka South City Awami League in the capital’s Lalbagh on Wednesday.She also called upon the people to go forward unitedly to save the people and their properties and for the development of the country.
Dhaka South City Awami League General Secretary Mohammad Humayun Kabir, among others, spoke at the function.
Matia Chowdhury, later, distributed blankets and warm clothes among the poor.
