CRAB accords floral reception to Bashundhara Group MD

Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir on Thursday urged crime reporters not to write any news that creates unrest in the country.

“It is the responsibility of the journalists not to write any misleading news that makes the country unstable,” he said while CRAB re-elected president Mirza Mehdi Tamal paid a courtesy call at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-1 in city's Bashundhara residential area, reports Daily Sun.

He hoped that CRAB will always play a role in objective journalism.

“The members of CRAB will unearth the truth through honest and courageous investigation,” he said.

Wishing better future of the organisation, Sayem Sobhan Anvir reiterated his commitment to stand by the members of the CRAB in any need.

“Like in the past, you will always find me by your side in any need in the future,” he added.

CRAB president greeted the Bashundhara MD with a bouquet of flowers for standing by the members of the organisation.

ABG Technologies Advisor Mustafa Azad Mohiuddin, Head of Finance (Treasurer) Sector - B at Bashundhara Group Nore Alam Siddiqui, Kaler Kantho Deputy Editor Haider Ali, News24 TV Deputy Chief News Editor Ashiqur Rahman Srabon and Bangladesh Pratidin Business Editor Ruhul Amin Rasel were present on the occasion.

Earlier, on May 8 last year, the executive committee of CRAB had a courtesy meeting with Sayem Sobhan Anvir. At that time, he assured the committee that CRAB would have its own permanent office at the earliest.

Going by his words, Bashundhara MD on December 22 last inaugurated the new office of CRAB at Rupayan FPAB Tower in Nayapaltan area of the capital.

During the inauguration programme, he said, “After 36 years, you have got a permanent place. I will try to give you a better place in the future. I will try to make a beautiful building for you from where you can conduct your activities smoothly.”

It is mentionable that Tamal, who is also the Special Correspondent of Bangladesh Pratidin, was re-elected as CRAB president for the second consecutive time.
