Police detained 52 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (February 10).                 

A total of 3,513 pieces of yaba, 400 grams of heroin, 122 bottles of phensidyle, and 9.3 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Forty-two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
