Visiting Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces Vice-Admiral Fahad Bin Abdullah Al-Ghofaily called on Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal at Naval Headquarters in the capital’s Banani Monday morning.
A Naval Contingent of the Bangladesh Navy gave him a guard of honour at the Naval Headquarters.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including friendly relations between the two countries and training on skilled development of the Navy personnel of the two countries.Earlier in the morning, the Commander of Royal Saudi Naval Forces paid rich tributes to martyred members of the Bangladesh armed forces during the Great Liberation War by placing floral wreathe at Shika Anirban.
He, later, signed in the visitors’ book there.
Members of the visiting delegation, the Saudi Arabian envoy in Dhaka and high officials of the Bangladesh Navy were present at that time.
