Awami League Presidium Member and spokesperson of the 14-party alliance Amir Hossain Amu expressed his hope that China would take a positive role in Rohingya repatriation.

He made the hope while addressing a discussion and reception of the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen.

Bangladesh Samyabadi Dal President and former Industries Minister Dilip Barua presided over the function while Communist Party President Comrade Shah Alam and former Bangladesh Ambassador to China Munshi Foyez Ahmed participated in the discussion. 

Amir Hossain Amu also hoped that China would play a strong role in future for the economic development of Bangladesh like past.
