Bangladesh Jubo League on Monday held a protest rally after a procession at central Shaheed Minar protesting the threat to kill Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by Rajshahi district unit BNP convener Abu Sayeed Chand.

They also demanded the immediate arrest of Abu Sayeed Chand and execute exemplary punishment of him.

The protest procession later paraded various streets in the capital.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Awami Swechasebak League also held a protest rally and procession for the same reason at Bangabandhu Avenue.

Gazi Mesbaul Hossain Shachchu, acting president of the Awami Swechasebak League presided over the protest rally while its general secretary Afzalur Rahman Babu, among others, spoke at the procession.

Speakers at the protest rally urged leaders and activists to tackle all kinds of anti-state conspiracies by the BNP-Jamaat nexus.

Later, the protest procession paraded various streets of Bangabandhu Avenue.
