Police detained 41 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (June 2).                 

A total of 1,145 pieces of yaba, 250 bottles of phensidyle, and 50.66 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
