Police detained 52 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (June 27).                 

A total of 3,095 pieces of yaba, 123.3 grams of heroin, and 9.925 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
