Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Saturday organised a special midday feast for the cleaning workers in various wards, as a gesture of appreciation for their timely removal of Qurbani waste, reports UNB.

DNCC Mayor Md. Atiqul Islam commended the cleaners for their relentless efforts in adverse weather conditions and for successfully clearing all the waste within the previously announced eight-hour timeframe.

Mayor Atiqul Islam said, “I had announced that the Qurbani waste would be cleared within eight hours. In response to my call, our labor brothers and sisters tirelessly worked in the rain-soaked city, providing relief to the city dwellers. They toiled diligently on the day of Eid and the following day to eliminate the unpleasant odor from the city.”
