Police detained 63 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Sunday (July 09).                 

A total of 11,366 pieces of yaba, 408.3 grams of heroin, 100 drug injections and 8.1 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Forty-three cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
