Police detained 43 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (July 13).                 

A total of 21,389 pieces of yaba, 269 grams of heroin, and 37 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Twenty-eight cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
