Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury Monday inaugurated the tree plantation programme at Parliament Members’ Club premises in the Parliament Bhaban.

During the tree plantation programme, the Speaker said the adverse situation of climate change is impacting people’s life and is pushing them into a deep crisis. There is no alternative to planting trees to overcome this crisis.  

Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku, Whip Atiur Rahman Atik, Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Whip Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, Umme Fatema Nazma Begum MP, Sayeda Rubina Akter MP and other lawmakers attended the tree plantation programme.

Officials of the Parliament Secretariat were also present at that time.
