Police detained 36 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (July 25).                 

A total of 846 pieces of yaba, 105.4 grams of heroin, 2 bottles of phensidyle, 45 bottles of foreign liquor and 2.65 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Twenty-seven cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
