Police detained 32 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (August 1).                 

A total of 1,405 pieces of yaba, 210 grams of heroin, and 105 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Seventeen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
