Indian High Commission in Dhaka organized the "Glory of Indian Art" exhibition at Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in the capital’s Dhanmondi to commemorate the momentous occasion of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav," marking 75 years of India's independence last Friday.

This exhibition showcased 75 artworks by renowned artists of Bangladesh, fostering cultural exchange and celebrating the profound bonds of art and culture between India and Bangladesh, reports UNB.

In his inaugural address, High Commissioner Pranay Verma stated that the exhibition serves as a testament to the power of art as a universal language that transcends borders.

He also remarked that the ties between our two countries are woven through language, art, literature, and the unbreakable spirit of our people.

The exhibition was made possible through a collaborative effort with the Department of History of Arts at Dhaka University.

The exhibition will remain open to the general public from Saturday offering art enthusiasts and the wider community a unique opportunity to witness the splendor of art traditions of India and Bangladesh.
