Police detained 35 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (August 17).                 

A total of 2,528 pieces of yaba, 105 grams of heroin, and 9.6 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions. 

Twenty-eight cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
