Much-awaited Dhaka metro rail’s Agargaon-Motijheel route will be opened on October 20, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.

He revealed the information while briefing journalists at his Secretariate office on Sunday.

Marking the occasion a public rally at Suhrawardy Udyan will be held at 3:00 pm on October 20.

The Uttara-Agargaon section of the country's first metro-rail line, formally known as MRT Line-6, was opened in December last year.
