President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Tuesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the demise of Kazi Shahid Ahmed.
He was the publisher and editor of the now-defunct newspaper "Dainik Ajker Kagoj", founder of Gemcon Group and prominent sports organizer.
In a condolence message, the President recalled with respect the contribution of Kazi Shahid to the field of journalism in the country.The Head of the State said, "The nation will remember him with due respect for long."
He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
