US Ambassador to Bangladesh Petar Haas has paid a courtesy call on Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandaker Golam Faruk.
The courtesy meeting from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm was held at DMP headquarters on Wednesday.
DMP sources said various issues, including recent militant drive and arrest and law and order situation of the capital, were discussed in the meeting.DMP high officials and US Embassy officers were present on the occasion and expressed their hope that cordial and mutual assistance of the two countries will increase further in the future, reports Daily Sun.
