Police detained 43 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (September 26). 

A total of 2,512 pieces of yaba, 64 grams of heroin, 50 bottles of phensidyle, 50 injections and 15.7 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-four cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
