Police detained 33 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (September 29).                    

A total of 7,437 pieces of yaba, 50 grams of heroin, 120 bottles of phensidyle, and 60.8kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Twenty-three cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
