Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling of onions at Tk 35 per kilogram among family cardholders across the capital tomorrow (Monday).
The TCB is going to start the selling of onion among its family cardholders considering the lean season of this essential item.
But, the operation will continue based arrival of the imported onion and then the consumers will be able to purchase maximum 2 kilograms of onion at a time, said Md Humayun Kabir, spokesperson of the TCB.It may be mentioned that the retail price of local onions increased to Tk 100 per kg and that of Indian onions to Tk 70–75 per kg.
