The members of law enforcement agencies on Sunday claimed to have recovered over 3 kg of gold worth Tk 3.20 crore from the possession of a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
Based on intelligence, a team of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and NSI held Suman Hossain who came from Sharjah on a flight of Air Arabian around 5 pm on Saturday.
Following his suspicious movement, the lawmen intercepted him while he was crossing the Customs Green Channel and at one point, they recovered around 3.131kg of gold from his possession.The market price of the gold is estimated at Tk 3.20 crore.
