Police detained 24 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (October 26).                 

A total of 454 pieces of yaba, 22 grams of heroin, 300 bottles of phensidyle, and 4.6 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Seventeen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
