Police detained 19 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (November 14).

A total of 755 pieces of yaba, 201 grams of heroin, 5 bottles of phensidyle, 16 drug injections and 2.1 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Fifteen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
