Police detained 22 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (November 16).

A total of 863 pieces of yaba, 20 grams of heroin, 15 drug tablets and 10.50 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Nineteen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
