Police detained 30 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Sunday (November 26). 

A total of 1,331 pieces of yaba, 17.5 grams of heroin, 10 bottles of phensidyl, 99 bottles of local liquor and 104 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions. 

Seventeen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
