Police detained 35 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (December 21).    

A total of 982 pieces of yaba, 11 grams of heroin, 15 bottles of phensidyl, 10 bottles of local liquor and 18.4 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.   

Thirty cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
